“Bongga Ka Day: The Musical” is about the love and life of Annie Batungbakal who's a saleslady. It is about how she aimed to live the kind of life she always dreamed about and how she wanted to be accepted and approved by the people in a particular social circle.

The term “Social Climbing” has been a term ever since before our generation, and up to now, it is still being used for those people who were trying so hard to be a part of a specific social circle. It is a social issue called "Social Class" since it divides the people to interact with who they wanted to interact with. It affects people's health, family life, education, religious affiliation, political participation, and experience with the criminal justice system. People tend to change and try to fit in a social class. Just like in the story of Annie Batungkal, she tried to be a part of a social circle. In that case, there are changes that are occurring in those kinds of times. We pretend to be something that we're not so that we’ll fit in in a social group. We tend to change the way we look, the way we act, the way we talk and walk but those things don't really define our social class. We should do those things for ourselves if thats what makes us feel good and not for the benefit of others, not just to fit in and have society’s approval.
