Bersikulo Quatro is a reality drama musical stage play that depicts typical social justice issues in the Philippines particularly related to substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, abortion, prostitution, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, and sexuality. This two-hour theatrical play aims to increase awareness of the effects and consequences of these underlying issues that affect the youth of our country today. It expresses suggestive solutions and coping mechanisms that enable
the viewers to reflect and even transcend a call for action towards fighting for social justice. Moreover, this will serve as an avenue for Philippine Red Cross-Davao City Chapter to generate funds that will be utilized for the realization of its multifarious humanitarian activities.
In the play that was released last August 22, 2015, the Bersikulo Quatro is a reality drama musical stage play that signifies the social justice issues in the Philippines. Some of the social issues that were seen in the play are abuse, teenage pregnancy, abortion, prostitution, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, and even sexuality. This play will remind us how the Filipino’s fight and give awareness for us on what are the possible consequences and effects of this kind of social issue.
In the play, I would say that it is really impressive since they gave awareness to the youth that there are a lot of social issues that are happening in our country. In life, we experience different problems, and those problems make us feel stronger. We think of it as a positive thing, not a negative one. This play portrays different characters with different social problems like addiction, prostitution, etc.
To be honest this play will let you into reality, that those problems will be our inspiration to love, care and be observant to those people that surround us. In this play, they are giving not just to fight those social problems but also awareness to the people, especially to the youth.
